About This Test

This Ishihara Color Blindness Test is designed to help you assess your color vision. The test consists of 12 plates, including a demonstration plate and 11 test plates with randomly generated numbers. Each plate uses carefully selected color combinations to test for red-green color vision deficiencies.

The Ishihara test is the most widely used color vision test in the world. It was developed by Dr. Shinobu Ishihara, a Japanese ophthalmologist, in 1917. The test works by showing numbers composed of dots of one color against a background of dots of a different color.
